New Home Same Mission
Well, the journey over the last few months is about complete! As you may remember, we sold our house at the beginning of October and moved into a rental at the end of that month, while we had a new house built. Four months later the new house is built, the rental cleaned out and the moving truck has come and gone. I wish I could say that it is complete, but there are still a few boxes to be emptied and some decisions yet to be made by our children on furniture they might need to set up their housing. The good news is that we can get two cars in the garage! The hardest part for us during the move was not being able to host families or couples in our rental - it was just too small with all of our stuff we were storing there. We look forward to being able to demonstrate hospitality in our new home!

Mission Update
Kristin and I will be leading the Educators Summer Mission again this year. We are so excited to potentially have our largest male participation on the mission this summer. We have two men already "in", there is one that I need to evaluate, and there are a couple of others who have expressed serious interest in joining us.

This will be the 10th anniversary of the mission. God has done so much as a result of this idea. One participant has joined staff with us, three found that they were called to work with youth and serve through their church in the youth ministry, several were equipped and are discipling, sharing their faith with students at their school. More than 100 future educators have been given the tools they need to walk with Christ at school, understand their legal freedoms and put together a plan to impact their school for Christ!

One exciting outcome of this mission is that three different organizations are meeting regularly to figure out what we can do to raise up 100,000 educators who would trust God to begin a Christian movement at their school. This particular idea has captured my heart and mind. I can't wait to see where God takes this!

In closing, William Carey, a great missionary of the 19th century, on God calling him to India told some friends “Well, I will go down, if you will hold the rope.” Like Carey, Kristin and I are no different, we depend on God meeting our needs through gracious people like you. Whether it’s through your financial gifts, fervent prayers, expressions of love and care, we thank God for you and the ways you “hold the rope” for us.
