The school year is about to end! For us, one child will move from middle school to high school. One will move from elementary school to middle school and two others will move up a grade. Changes everywhere! This summer has the whole crew heading to Colorado to spend time serving the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ at this year's staff conference. We kind of take over Fort Collins and Colorado State University for about six to eight weeks.
The last two weeks of July all our United States Staff will attend our meetings, hear from great speakers and the leadership of the ministry will lay out our course for the coming years. This will be the first time that Student Venture (the high school part of Campus Crusade) will be in meeting with the Campus Ministry. In the last two years our leadership has been folded in under theirs so this will be our first opportunity to be together at a staff conference. We are excited about the summer. The kids hope to catch up with some of their Orlando friends (whose parents are on staff) in Colorado.
We are currently making plans to take the long way out to Staff Conference. The plans arre still on the drawing board, but we look to head through the Badlands and to Mount Rushmore for some family R & R. Not sure if we are going to get as far as Yellowstone, but that is still an option.
My major function is finishing the Starter Handbook (working with our team on that), getting some details in place for the fall, developing new ministry partners to pray for and help financially meet the needs of the ministry. God always supplies, but pray for us as we work and wait to see His provision.
